Project Dil Se Khelo is a BTCP under Teach For India with a mission to create opportunities, spread awareness and increase sports literacy & training for underprivileged children. The Indian educational system believes their sports curriculum is full proof. However, the importance given to it ends there as this inclusion is just for the sake of a formality. Our students and parents are unaware of the career opportunities available in sports. The system fails to provide adequate resources, sports literacy, opportunities and required skill sets for building a career in sports because of poor availability of sports teachers in schools and limited career opportunities. Data spoke to us:- Awareness:- 78.6% of students have interest & adequate potential but lack awareness. Sports Literacy & Training:- 60.87% students being able to manage their athletic & academic responsibilities are however, deprived of sports teachers & basic amenties at school Career Exposure & Opportunities:- 80.36% of students having interest in making a career in sports has negligible exposure & opportunities.
