PERMIKA Montreal (Perkumpulan Mahasiswa/i Indonesia di Kanada) is an Indonesian student association that facilitates positive social interactions between Indonesian students and diasporas all over Canada, but mainly in the Greater Area of Montreal and Quebec. We are known to be a tightknit crew consisting of bright, ambitious people coming from different backgrounds who are just down to chill, but also get right down to business when we're at it. PERMIKA Montreal has grown since we were first established. Beyond casual hangouts (i.e. picnics at the park, winter retreats, movie nights, pub crawls, etc.), we are known for our annual Indonesian night event, the infamous 'Aloen-Aloen' that invites people from various walks of life, Indonesians, and non-Indonesians alike, to introduce them to the various types of delicious Indonesian cuisines, and the vibrant performances of Indonesian dances and songs. We celebrate diversity, inclusivity, and culture; these are the causes we support.
