We wanted to do something positive during the lockdown and provide all businesses with the tools to sell online. We believe in the sense of place and community that a high street brings and we want to help preserve them for the future. We believe in buying and supporting local. Local businesses working together means helping each other – this approach will support the local economy as a whole, by helping sales in all local independents and thus recycling economic benefits (60% more than money spent in large corporate businesses such as the high street chains). We envision our virtual high street will enable cross merchandising and selling between businesses while driving impulse purchases across several shops in the way a trip to the high street does.
