Hey Ohana! Mo Ohana started as an idea that Kate thought of to capture our family moments so that our family would always have them to look back at the happy times. Savon having suffered a few major concussions through his football career has gradually suffered memory loss and this was our way of saving the best parts of our lives for each other. The name stems on a double entendre of the word "Mo" being a slang for "more" but also being the abbreviated nickname of our family name Moniz. And "Ohana" being the Hawaiian word for family, because our family is Hawaiian. Together the Hawaiian meaning of Mo Ohana actually means "For Families". Which is why we do this. It later evolved into a family album for our kids to see how our family grew. From two people in love with one little Corgi to adding a lovable Bernese Mountain Dog and so on. The Vlog also gave our family an excuse to really explore the world and get out, do, and be. Our hope is that by watching our videos it will inspire other families to focus on their quality time with one another because that's what matters most to us. We hope to grow, inspire, laugh, love and remember every little moment of our lives. And we hope to bring that to those who watch as well. Aloha Oe!
