Freelance Medical Interpreter - Spanish/English providing services in the Central Florida area. If you are a person with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and need assistance understanding your medical providers, ask them to provide a Certified or Qualified Medical Interpreter for your session/visit. Doel attended the Inter American University of Puerto Rico – San German, graduating with a major in English Literature and earning an ROTC commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. In the US Army, Doel specialized as a Military Intelligence Officer for Electronic Warfare / Signals Intelligence, covering Eastern Europe, Central/South America and the Middle East. Doel completed his graduate degree in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University. After serving 10 years, he joined the US Army Reserves where he completed his 20 years and retired at the rank of Major. Upon leaving active duty, Doel began his pharmaceutical career with SmithKline Beecham, specializing in antibiotics, vaccines and anti-inflammatories. He later relocated to Orlando, FL, where he joined Purdue Pharma as a Pain Management specialist, and later joined Eisai Pharmaceuticals as an Alzheimer’s (LTC) specialist. Given the industry changes, Doel moved into LTC pharmacy sales, Healthcare IT (Financial) sales, Home Health Sales, and Healthcare Security sales. Doel has a diverse business experience, which brings him to today as a Health Science Solutions Consultant focused in Medical Interpreting. Throughout his career, he has performed the tasks of interpreting for various military operations/missions, and for medical situations with patients and healthcare providers. Currently, he volunteers for the Healing the Children Foundation, NJ and FL/GA Chapters. As the team’s Medical Interpreter, Doel participated in a Pediatric Urology medical mission to Guayaquil, Ecuador (10/17), and trained as a Trip Administrator in the recent Pediatric Ophthalmology medical mission to Arequipa, Peru (4/18). Doel is an active member of the International Medical Interpreters Association. He has completed the 40 hour Medical Interpreter Training course and has sat for the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters.
