Welcome to my newest venture in the wine world, Grand Cru Imports Inc. In French, grand cru literally means “great growth” and in the French official wine classification it refers to “wine of the most superior grade, or the vineyard that produces it.” As the name suggests, my aim is to bring you the best of the best while always keeping value in mind. The wines I offer come from small, yet renowned producers who may only bottle, in most circumstances, into the hundreds of cases per year, not thousands. Or I may bring in second growths of the well-known top houses and even still these wines are difficult to find. In other words, I hope to continue to find rare, treasured and otherwise top notch wines that may not be available anywhere else. Certainly not in B.C.
