A group of dedicated students at IIT Guwahati, fueled by passion and innovation, let the rolling wheels drive our imagination. The Formula Student Team of IIT Guwahati, IITG RACING, is a joint venture of The AUTOMOBILE and The SAE CLUB. It allows the students to cash in on opportunities and bring out their hidden ideas for automobile and prototype building. The Team first assembled in the year 2010 and laid the stones for the legacy of IITG RACING. The year 2012 turned the debut year with Srijan(All-Terrain Vehicle), making a bold statement at BAJA SAE 2012 by becoming the 3rd finalist, which brought laurels to the club. The achievement sparked the flames of innovation and speed for the crew to raise the bars. The Team flew with those roaring wheels with the emergence of Efficycle, which is environment friendly. Efficycles carved a niche for themselves by standing 21st, 13th, and 7th respectively for three successive years. Formula Bharat 2017 turned out to be the defining moment in legacy of IITG RACING. Our Formula-student cars marked the go-to thing for the community with Efficycles in between. Tachyon 1.0 glided past the tracks. The assembly delivered with standing 21st at Formula Bharat 2017. The foundation was laid, the hunger grew, designs got better, and the legacy was created . Tachyon got it's upgraded models. Now, IITG is on the course to become the powerhouse of young curious minds building and cruising through the race-tracks.
