Enactus Cape Breton University

Enactus Cape Breton University is a community of entrepreneurial student leaders who see business as a way to address Social, Economic and Environmental issues. We plan and execute initiatives outside the classroom and improve the livelihood of real people, in the real world, our projects tackle multiple needs and create solutions not just temporarily but long term impacts. How do we do that? Step 1 - A project is established based on the problems teams discover in their community, and a solution is formed by the executive team. Step 2 - The team is formed based on interest expressed by members, and project managers are chosen from their experience and commitment. Step 3 - Team members take entrepreneurial action and implement the project in order to empower the people, and to improve the livelihoods of those impacted by the problem identified. Step 4 - All the Enactus projects across the Atlantic province from universities and colleges compete with each other based on the direct and indirect impact created. These project compete based on three categories Financial education, Environmental, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneur Challenge. Step 5 - The regional winners and runner ups move forward to national exposition and then finally to the Enactus World Cup. This allows the team to get more insight from projects across Canada and the world. This gives them a clear entrepreneurial understanding on how to tackle and take forward a business in the real world. So how about giving yourself a chance to understand this world of ours?
