My husband and i will guide you through the lessons for the cooking class and introduce you to the ingredients which are required and identify the local herbs, spices, fish, meats, vegetables and fruits for completing your Indonesian Street food cooking lesson Then start preparing your meals and learn easy to follow cooking techniques We will teach you 6 popular dishes like Tahu Isi (fried tofu filled with meat and vegetables), Perkedel Kentang (potato fritters filled with vegetables) , Lumpia isi Ayam (chicken and vegetable spring rolls), Pecelan Gado Gado (vegetable salad with peanut sauce), Jenang Gempol (Palm sugar porridge with coconut sauce and coconut dumplings) and Kolak Pisang (banana and cassava congee) We will also show you how to make some delicious local refreshing drinks like Es Cincau Hijau (green jelly coconut drink), Wedang Uwuh (ginger and spice drink) and Es Campur Jeli (red beans, jackfruit, corn and jelly in sweet iced coconut milk), Kopi Bali Tobruk (Indonesian coffee) Fine examples of traditional spicy or sweet recipe
