IET KFUPM
The IET-KFUPM Student Chapter is the young engineering students’ branch of the IET-UK’s Saudi Arabia Network. Founded in 2007 with a humble beginning, the young members’ section has grown and evolved into a very popular and active student organisation in the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Blessed with a dynamically talented and dedicated team of volunteers, the student branch has on its portfolio a kaleidoscope of events and activities ranging from technical and non-technical seminars/workshops along with social competitions. The Institution of Engineering and Technology was formed by the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and the Institution of Incorporated Engineers (IIE) and now has more than 150,000 members worldwide. It is the largest professional engineering society in Europe and the second largest of its type in the world. IET Programming Club: The Objective of the Programming Club is to create software that will be beneficial to all KFUPM university students, and in turn provide the members of the group with practical and valuable technical project management, participation, communication and leadership experience.
