Funky Fresh Collective is Nottingham Trent University’s award winning Hip-Hop dance society. Originally founded in 2010 by just 6 people, Funky Fresh Collective has now grown into one of the largest societies at NTU with over 100 members, all united by their love and passion for dance. Members are taught a variety of styles including Hip-Hop, House, Dancehall, Popping, Locking, Breaking and Chicago Footwork. Teams compete at some of the most prestigious University competitions all over the UK. The society also hosts social events and showcases throughout the year along with many volunteering and fundraising activities for UK charities to ensure that we can give something back to the community. Funky Fresh Collective is more than just a society; it is a family of students who help and support each other. Whether you’ve danced before or not, Funky Fresh Collective welcomes you with open arms to share your love of dance and music with us. Each year a body of students runs Funky Fresh Collective to ensure it continues to grow and flourish. Roles include President, Vice President, Treasurer, Social Secretaries and Promotions Officers. Without the commitment of the society’s members, Funky Fresh Collective would not have grown to such a capacity as it has done and we look forward to a prosperous future with the students of Nottingham Trent University.
