The goal of Discovery Schools is to provide quality, specialized educational programs with a detailed focus on superior customer service for families and school districts. The Discovery Schools program is designed specifically to meet the academic and therapeutic needs of students with significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. The program provides individualized instruction and therapeutic interventions in a trauma informed environment. Discovery Schools is a Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Approved Private Agency. Discovery Schools is approved to serve students ages 5-21 diagnosed with the educational disabilities of Autism and Emotional Disturbance as well as other diagnoses including but not limited to Other Health Impairments, Intellectual Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Specific Learning Disabilities. The student to staff ratio target is 4:1 with academic instruction provided by certified special education teachers and clinical therapy and related services provided by licensed staff. Behavior modification and social skills are also incorporated into the program on a daily basis.
