Cornell University's Language House in Boldt Hall is part of Alice Cook House. The Language House focuses on supporting students interested in becoming global citizens, adaptable to other cultures, and more fluent in foreign languages. Language House programs provide students from across the university with access to a unique mixture of events, experts in a broad range of fields related to intercultural literacy, and a first rate network of globally active alumni. The Language House offers language immersion communities that interact in French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish. Boldt Hall residents and their peers improve their command of their chosen target language by speaking it to each other and to an on-staff, on-site Native Speaker, at Language House events and during their everyday interactions. A specialised GRF, SA, and team guide and support the community.
