A sub-association of the HKJSSP dedicated to assisting secondary and university students who are passionate about psychology. Our mission is to encourage and promote the study of psychology, amplifying this ever-developing topic in HK and providing our audience with an insight into this field. Through our mentorship programme, we hope to be able to connect experienced professionals with a younger audience, sharing their expertise and knowledge. Mentors will be matched up with mentees, and assist them in embarking on their journey to psychology. Through the means of regular communication, we offer chances for mentees to be exposed to the impressive work of a psychologist. This initiative is mutually beneficial, as it allows for leadership experiences and provides a rewarding opportunity of being able to work closely with other passionate students. Besides from talks and gatherings, we intend to create 3 educational books consisting of advice from the mentors, which will be supported by sharings of personal experience. The 1st book will be a mentorship program logbook where mentors will track their experience working with the mentees whereas the 2nd book will consist mainly of information regarding overseas studies. Lastly, the 3rd book will be a compilation of mentors’ personal experiences related to psychology and pointers for aspiring students. We aim to be able to raise funds for meaningful charities/causes through selling these booklets. Ultimately, we hope that our mentors will be able to guide students along their path towards achieving their long-term goals of studying psychology or perhaps even pursuing their dream careers.
