Who is Tripod Coaching & Consulting LLC, and what is the significance of the name? Our CEO and founder, Diana E. Dibble, has been speaking to and consulting for businesses since 1997. During her career a consistent theme became evident from speaking and working with entrepreneurs, especially when she worked with companies on their government certifications. Businesses may be successful from a revenue standpoint, but they didn't have strong business operations policies and procedures. She saw that the weak points for companies were in business operations. She started speaking about and teaching the "tripod" concept. A strong company needs a tripod as a foundation consisting of the company's attorney, accountant and banker, These three individuals lay an initial structural foundation, and then the company builds their policies and procedures as the next foundational level. The challenge is most business owners find business operations tedious; and it takes a backseat to activities that directly generate revenue. They also don't have a solid understanding of business operations because includes a lot of particulars that they may not have been exposed to before starting their business. Then after the business opens, many business owners focus on what they know -- the services and products they sell. And most are really good at it because they know their industry and ideal customer. The problem is that without a strong foundation, the business may not survive. Why? Because the company cannot sustain business growth by only increasing revenue.
