KKI NY

KKI NY stands for Keluarga Katolik Indonesia. In this organization, the Indonesian Catholic community who live in New York City and its surroundings gather to jointly develop ties of brotherhood and faith. Spearheaded by several families in 1985, KKI NY started off holding mass from house to house for its members. It was a place where Indonesians could foster their faith, especially for those who were unable to adapt to the people in their local parishes due to cultural and linguistic differences. Over the last 35+ years, the number of members of KKI NY has grown to over 400 people. Our regular activities include Holy Mass hosted every second and fourth week of the month, prayer meetings, rosary prayers, KTM/Community of the Holy Trinity and several other activities. KKI NY is an official organization under the auspices of the CMO (Catholic Migration Office) in the Diocese of Brooklyn, which oversees 27 apostolate from various countries in the world. It is one branch of many organizations throughout the North America and the world, in multiple cities such as Amsterdam, Houston, Tokyo, and Los Angeles.
