Garbage Clinical Insurance
Garbage Clinical Insurance (GCI) is a micro health insurance program that uses waste as a financial source. With this program, people pay for health services by using waste in the insurance scheme. This can make people mobilize their own unused resources to improve health access and break down barriers between health facilities and the community. This program is able to solve 2 (two) types of problems simultaneously, health problems and environmental problems. This program is also able to be a social engineering to increase public awareness and community willingness about waste management from the household level. On the other hand, it is expected to improve environmental health through community-based waste management.
