Nkwazi Cooperative Savings and Credit Society Limited was established in 1997 to improve the livelihoods of members. This is achieved by promoting a culture of saving among our members, based on values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality and solidarity. These values remain at the heart of Nkwazi and serve as guidelines for the Board and the general membership. The Cooperative has undergone numerous changes over the years The Board of directors and are elected by members at the Annual General Meeting. Guided by principles of Voluntary and Open Membership, Democratic Member Control, Member Economic Participation, Autonomy and Independence and Concern for Community, an elected Board of Directors oversee the overall strategy and operations of Nkwazi Cooperative.
