Breeds include Gloucestershire Old Spot, Tamworth and Berkshire blends and are available for sale by whole, half or cuts. Please call for more information or email jenhege@outlook.com This coming years project is to rotate the hogs through our front property that had been taken over by pine saplings and return it as lush, fertilized pasture. We will follow their clearing with grasses and forage plants to increase the available forage per sf and rotate them about the property. We plan to add sheep in coming year and they will also graze on this area. Our processing kitchen is in process and once completed will be our Charcuterie where we will prepare Old-World cured meats, sausages and prosciutto. With our new freeze drier we will also begin our 'Paleo Pig' healthy freeze-dried meal packets for travel, camping and emergencies. We will also use our freeze drier to make food supplement packets for dogs and cats from butchering scraps and ground bone for a healthy, enzyme rich addition to their normal food. Freeze drying is ideal for less mess and higher nutrition along with long storage life and ease of use. Primary ingredients will be duck, chicken, offal, eggs and bone (ground) and eventually lamb along with some veggies.
