UofN Community Emergency Response Team
The Most Good - For the Most People - In the Shortest Amount of Time Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) members are volunteer first responders trained to assist their families, neighborhoods and communities following a disaster or emergency where professional responders are not immediately available to help. CERTs are trained in Search & Rescue, Small Fire Suppression, Disaster Medical Operations, Incident Command, Disaster Psychology, Hazardous Material and Terrorist Incidents. The UofN-CERT has been active locally and frequently mobilized by Hawaii County Civil Defense since 2010.
