As an independent foodbank based in Enderby, Leicestershire - we exist to ensure that struggling households in our local communities do not have to go hungry by providing them with nutritious food parcels. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic we served around 15 households in our village each month and have since expanded our reach and provide around 250 parcels to households each month which equates to around £5,000 worth of food every week! In addition to standard parcels, we also support families with children during the school holidays who sometimes struggle to replicate the lunchtime meals the children would have received at school. Our growth and reliability is built on the passion, ambition and dedication of our hardworking team, along with the financial backing to create the infrastructure to deliver this vital service to residents who would have otherwise fallen through the cracks. Our local communities are fantastic at supporting their unknown neighbours needing help and provide regular food donations at one of many drop off points we have around the villages. We encourage anyone in our support area to contact us if they need help, and without question we provide them with food. We believe food shouldn’t be a luxury, and asking for help is the only barrier to receiving this help. If you would like to get involved in our project please get in touch!
