UQU is the hub of student life at the University of Queensland! We represent the interests of UQ students and run independent services, events and outlets to enhance your student experience including Student Advocacy and Support (SAS); retail, food and beverage outlets; and a fantastic campus culture. As an independent body, UQU represent students on all important university committees to ensure your voice is heard on all university matters. EVENTS A number of major campus events are run by UQU throughout the year including; Market Day, Toga Party, Cultural Fiesta and International Beer Day. CLUBS & SOCIETIES We also offer over 200 clubs and societies to suit your hobbies or interest. Whether you're joining a religious, special interest, postgraduate or faculty club you'll benefit from social activities and networking opportunities here at UQ. STUDENT ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT (SAS) Student Advocacy and Support (SAS) is an independent, short term support service for all UQ students. SAS can provide you with assistance on matters relating to advocacy, support and university decisions. SAS can support you on matters relating to Academic, Welfare and Wellbeing, Legal, Visa, Job Preparation and Financial Assistance. FOOD AND RETAIL We offer food, beverage, retail and entertainment outlets at St Lucia including secondhand textbooks, lollies, delicious food, discounted groceries and even a uni bar! Support your UQU and visit Darwin's, Main Course, Pizza Caffe, On a Roll Bakery, Pantry Sixty Three, The Lolly Shop, Secondhand Texts & Stationery, The Redroom, Gatton Lawes Club and the Food Co-Op Any profits made from the outlets are invested back into UQU to improve services and facilities which benefit the students.
