EUSci - Edinburgh University Science Media
EUSci is a student-run science communication group (with a few post-docs and staff thrown in for good measure) at the University of Edinburgh. We publish EUSci Magazine, run a seminar series, follow local current events in science, and organize workshops and social events. Our activities are open to anyone — university undergraduate or postgraduate students and staff, and members of the community. EUSci was founded in 2008 as an independent spin-off from BlueSci, the Cambridge University science magazine. Each issue presents an in-depth look at a hot topic in science, news from the world of science in and around Edinburgh, a selection of feature articles on diverse topics, interviews with famous scientists, book reviews, and more. Edinburgh-based scientists (from students to professionals) do all the writing and editing, while students from the Edinburgh College of Art contribute many of our illustrations. Our articles appeal to general readers and specialists alike and the magazine serves as a venue for scientists to both reach a wider audience and hone their writing skills. Our magazine is published twice a year, and is free to pick up all over campus and nearby coffee shops/pubs! You can also find us online at http://eusci.org.uk/
