UX Fest SLO is a student-run club designed to develop budding User Experience Design talent at Cal Poly. Established in 2020, we host events throughout the year to give students hands-on UX experience, as well as a weekend-long UX Festival in Winter Quarter. During the Festival, students of any experience level can enter in our collaborative UX prototyping competition, design workshops, industry panels and networking socials. At the end of the weekend, competing UX Fest teams present their app prototype to a panel of judges for ranking and a chance to win a prize. Our main goal is to provide students with opportunities to break into the UX field in an inclusive, beginner-friendly environment, and kickstart interest and growth in the UX Design field.
