Enrich a contact before outreach in ChatGPT

Example outputs in this play are illustrative — they reflect the structure, fields, and format of real Lusha connector output, but were not pulled from a live session. Run the prompt with your own contacts to see live results. Personal details in any live examples are masked or abbreviated for privacy.

Look up any B2B contact’s verified title, email address, direct dial, and company profile directly inside ChatGPT — in one prompt, without leaving the conversation.

Before you write the email, before you pick up the phone, you need to know the contact is still in their role, their title is current, and the email won’t bounce. This play uses the Lusha connector in ChatGPT to look up any contact against Lusha’s verified B2B database — 300M+ contacts, refreshed daily — and returns everything you need in one pass.

How to start

1

Open the Lusha connector in ChatGPT

Go to the ChatGPT Marketplace, search for Lusha, and click “Start chat.” Every conversation started this way is automatically Lusha-enabled. If you don’t have a Lusha account yet, sign up before returning to ChatGPT.

2

Or invoke Lusha in any existing conversation

In any ChatGPT conversation, type @Lusha in the prompt bar to invoke the connector mid-session. Unlike Claude, Lusha does not activate automatically in ChatGPT — you must start from the Marketplace or use @Lusha every time.

3

Paste the prompt and fill in the brackets

Copy the prompt below, replace the bracketed placeholders with your contact’s details, and send. Lusha returns the verified profile in seconds.

Why it works

Most contact lookups require switching between tools — a CRM tab, a LinkedIn search, a data provider, an email validator. This prompt collapses all of that into a single ChatGPT conversation. Lusha’s verified B2B database covers 300M+ contacts across 60M+ companies, refreshed daily from multiple independent sources. The data is not scraped from LinkedIn or inferred from public records — it is verified, timestamped, and checked for accuracy before it reaches you.

The tenure field is a signal most enrichment tools miss. A contact who joined their current role six months ago is likely still evaluating their inherited vendor stack. A contact who has been in seat for three years has probably locked in their decisions. Knowing which one you’re dealing with before you send the first message changes the angle of the outreach.

Lusha data is sourced and used in accordance with Lusha’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Lusha is GDPR compliant and covers contacts across North America, EMEA, and APAC.

FAQ

  • Do I need to type @Lusha every time I use ChatGPT?

Yes — unlike Claude, the Lusha connector does not activate automatically in every ChatGPT conversation. You must either start a new conversation from the ChatGPT Marketplace by finding Lusha and clicking “Start chat,” or type
@Lusha
in the prompt bar to invoke it in an existing conversation. If you send the prompt without invoking Lusha, ChatGPT will return an error saying it cannot access Lusha.

  • What identifiers does the Lusha contact lookup accept in ChatGPT?

Full name and company name is the most common starting point. You can also provide a business email address or a LinkedIn URL and Lusha will resolve the contact from either. If the name is common and the company has many employees, adding the contact’s department or job title to the prompt helps Lusha return the right match rather than a list of candidates.

  • What happens if the contact has left the company?

Lusha flags the departure and returns the contact’s new employer and title where the data is available. The prompt above specifically asks for this — the status field returns “departed” rather than “confirmed in seat” so you know before you send the email rather than after it bounces.

  • How many Lusha credits does one contact lookup in ChatGPT consume?

Each successful contact enrichment consumes one Lusha credit. A no-match result — where Lusha searches but cannot find the contact — does not consume a credit. Credits are included in Lusha Pro plans and above. Free accounts have limited credits for initial use. Check your available credits in Lusha Analytics before running bulk lookups.
