AI Prompt

Find companies researching your category this week

Tools: Claude ▪ Lusha

This prompt finds companies researching your category right now, using the Lusha connector in Claude. Lusha matches what you sell to intent topics, scores each company’s research activity from 0 to 100, and finds the decision maker at the top accounts. You get a ranked list of in-market accounts and a named buyer at each, before a competitor gets there first.

The prompt

Use the Lusha connector to find companies researching my category this week.

What I sell: [your product or category, e.g. sales intelligence]
My ICP: [industry, company size, country]
Buyer titles: [e.g. CRO, VP Sales, Head of RevOps]

1. Check my Lusha credit balance first and tell me roughly what this run will cost.
2. Find the Bombora intent topics that match what I sell. Show me up to 5 and use the 2 closest.
3. Search for companies in my ICP researching those topics. Return up to 25.
4. Pull the intent signal for each company on those topics: the score (0-100) and the week it fired. Drop anything older than 30 days.
5. Rank by score, then by date.
6. For the top 5, find the decision maker for my buyer titles. If the buying group doesn't include one, search for my buyer titles at that company. Show whether a verified email and phone exist, but don't reveal them yet.
7. Return a table: company, industry, size, topic, score, week detected, contact name, title, email available, phone available, and one line on why to reach out now.
8. Ask me before revealing any contact details or saving the list to a Workspace table.

Replace the three lines in brackets, then run it. The prompt checks your credit balance and gives a cost estimate before it spends anything.

What you'll get back

The situation

Your SDRs work the same account list every week. Some of those accounts are researching your category right now; the others aren’t. Without intent data, nobody can tell which is which, so in-market accounts get the same generic touch as everyone else, or none at all.

The output

We ran the prompt for a sales intelligence product, targeting US companies with 51–500 employees.

Topics matched: Lusha returned “Sales Intelligence” and “Sales Intelligence Platform” as the closest intent topics.

Companies found: 129 US companies in the size range showed intent on those topics. The prompt pulled 25 and ranked them by score.

The buying group came back without a sales leader, so step 6 kicks in: Claude runs a second search for your buyer titles at that company. Company A returned no decision makers at all, which tells you to go in through a title search or skip the account.

Why reach out now (example line): Company B scored 79 on sales intelligence research the week of Oct 11 and sells into a lending market that runs on outbound. Lead with how fast a lending team can reach the right borrower contacts.

Cost of the run: about 9 credits (1 search, 5 intent signal lookups, 3 contacts). No contact details were revealed.

Companies and contacts confirmed live via Lusha connector, November 5, 2026. Company names are masked; contact names show initials only.

Why it works

Intent data tells you who is researching your category before they fill in a form. In Claude, Lusha does the whole chain in one conversation: it maps your product to the right intent topics, finds companies in your ICP researching them, pulls the score and the week each one fired, and finds the decision maker at the top accounts. Lusha’s intent topics come from Bombora, with more than 18,500 topics refreshed weekly, so the list reflects what companies researched in the last few weeks, not last quarter. Nothing gets revealed or saved until you say so, which keeps credit spend and data handling under your control. Lusha is GDPR and CCPA compliant; see the Lusha Trust Center and Lusha’s FAQ on compliance for details.

FAQ

What are intent topics in Lusha?

Intent topics are subjects a company is researching online, such as “Sales Intelligence” or “Data Warehousing.” Lusha draws on Bombora’s catalog of more than 18,500 B2B topics. When a company’s research on a topic rises above its normal level, Lusha records an intent signal with a score from 0 to 100.

How many credits does this prompt use?

A company search costs 1 credit for up to 25 results. Each intent signal costs 1 credit per topic per company. Contact lookups cost credits too, and revealing an email or phone costs more. Our test run used about 9 credits. The prompt checks your balance and estimates the cost before it starts.

How fresh is the intent data?

Intent scores refresh weekly. The prompt drops any signal older than 30 days, so every account on your list showed research activity within the last month. A higher score means a sharper rise in research on that topic.

How is this different from tracking LinkedIn activity?

Intent topics track what a company reads across B2B websites, at the account level. LinkedIn activity tracks what individual people post and engage with in public. Intent topics tell you which accounts are in market; LinkedIn activity helps you pick which person to message first. The two work well together.

What if the buying group doesn’t include my buyer?

Lusha’s buying group ranks decision makers by seniority and role, and it may return leaders outside your buyer function, as it did in our test. The prompt handles this: it runs a second search for your buyer titles at that company. If neither search finds anyone, the account stays on the list with a note so you can decide whether to work it.
